How do I compress an image?
Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP image, set the dimensions, output format and quality, then select Compress image. Compare the preview and file sizes before selecting Download image.
Do my images leave my device?
No. Pixel Press processes images in browser memory using Canvas. There are no uploads, accounts, analytics or saved image history. Downloading saves a file only when you choose.
What are the limits?
One still image at a time, up to 25 MiB and 40 megapixels. Output is JPEG or WebP, with no upscaling. JPEG fills transparent areas with white. Re-encoding removes source metadata and may produce a larger file; savings depend on the image and settings. Animation is not preserved. Browser encoding support can vary.
